Early Intervention and Developmental Support Worker provides structured developmental support and intervention to children with developmental delays, disabilities or special needs, helping them build communication, motor, cognitive and social skills and reach age‑appropriate milestones. They work with families and multidisciplinary teams to assess needs, implement individualized plans, monitor progress, and adjust activities to improve overall child development and learning outcomes.
Tasks
Conduct developmental assessments to children and identify areas of delay or difficulty.
Design and implement individualized intervention activities and session plans to support developmental goals.
Deliver therapy, structured play, behavioural support, and guided learning activities.
Document child progress, prepare reports and communicate updates with parents or caregivers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, educators and health professionals.
Engage and support families in strategies they can continue at home to reinforce developmental progress.
