Supervisor (Plantation) supervises and coordinates daily field operations in plantation estates, including crop cultivation, harvesting, nursery management, and general field maintenance. The role involves directing and allocating workers, planning and monitoring activities such as planting, manuring, weeding, and pruning, and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with operational, safety, and environmental standards. The supervisor also maintains records of field activities, monitors crop and seedling conditions, and reports progress to estate management to support productivity and efficient plantation management.
Tasks
Supervise and coordinate daily plantation field operations, including planting, maintenance, and harvesting activities.
Assign tasks, guide plantation workers and outsourced labour, and ensure work is carried out safely and effectively.
Monitor crop health, yield, and quality, and oversee pest control and routine agronomic activities.
Ensure correct harvesting techniques and crop ripeness in accordance with plantation standards.
Oversee the proper application of fertilisers, including rates, methods, and coverage.
Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental requirements and promote safe work practices.
Maintain plantation cleanliness, including weed control, waste management, and general field upkeep.
Oversee the use and basic maintenance of tools, machinery, equipment, and plantation infrastructure.
Prepare and maintain operational records and submit reports to management.
