Assistant Community Development Officer Grade S5
Assistant Community Development Officer Grade S5 assists in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring the establishment of Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT), expanding Skim Rondaan Sukarela (SRS), Tabika Perpaduan (TP), and Taska Permata Perpaduan (TPP), collecting information on social cohesion, detecting sensitive religious issues, taking action on matters that may threaten national security, and designing and implementing programmes/activities capable of preventing, intervening in, and restoring situations that jeopardise national security in particular, and the local community in general. Strives to enhance local community understanding of the importance of national integration, patriotism, and inter-ethnic relations based on the Rukun Negara and the Federal Constitution. Assists Community Development Officers in providing biopsychosocial services to clients during treatment and rehabilitation processes, and helps restore social functioning so that clients become more productive, self-reliant, and able to reintegrate into the community in accordance with their capabilities.
Tasks
Assisting in planning, implementing, and supervising Rukun Tetangga (RT) and Skim Rondaan Sukarela (SRS), including establishment and cancellation at the district level.
Collecting information on the Social Stress Index (SSI) via e-sepakat, internet, print, and electronic media.
Assisting in identifying issues that may threaten national security and social cohesion.
Implementing neighbourhood activities and Unity Education programmes in the local community.
Detecting community conflict issues and assisting in resolving them through Community Mediation.
Identifying sensitive religious issues and analysing the Religious Tolerance Index.
Planning and implementing activities for the Kelab Rukun Negara (KRN), Sekretariat Rukun Negara (SRN), and Student Integration Programme for Unity (RIMUP) in schools and public/private universities.
Assisting in enhancing understanding among ethnic groups, religious issues, citizenship, language, Bumiputera rights, and the Malay Rulers’ institution.
Assisting in patient registration, record keeping, interviews, and home visits to assess support and plan discharge.
Providing health education, emotional support, manages therapy referral cases, financial assistance, prosthetic devices, temporary placements, and participates in ward rounds.

Ability to act as a community mediator in resolving conflicts.
Ability to build networks and collaborate with government agencies and private parties.
Ability to clearly deliver information and government policies to the local community.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu, English and other dialects.
Ability to gather multi-ethnic communities for programmes or events.
Ability to write quality reaction or intelligence reports.
Specific
Ability to detect, collect, analyse and identify the state of social cohesion and plan preventive measures.
Ability to manage the operations of the Voluntary Patrol Scheme (SRS) in accordance with regulations.
Skills in using electronic systems such as e-RT, e-SRS, e-Tabika, e-Sepakat, e-IDRT and Microsoft Word.
