Welfare Officer (Industry) is responsible for promoting and safeguarding the well-being of employees in industrial and manufacturing settings. They manage employee welfare programs, including grievance handling, maternity benefits, workplace health and safety, and counselling services, while conducting orientation and training on mental health, ergonomics, and safety. They also collaborate with management, unions, and government bodies to ensure compliance with labour regulations, enhance working conditions, and support employee engagement and productivity.

Tasks

Conduct welfare needs assessments for employees in industrial settings.

Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate welfare programs, including health screenings, counseling, and recreational activities.

Provide support and advice to employees facing personal or work-related issues, and handle grievances and workplace conflicts.

Facilitate communication between employees and management to foster understanding and trust.

Collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with labour welfare regulations.

Organise training workshops on mental health, stress management, and workplace safety.

Coordinate with external welfare agencies and government bodies to enhance services.
