Community Nurse Grade U1 responsible as a health worker who performs various duties and is a member of the health team who serves the community directly.
Tasks
Performing nursing practice, adhering to ethics, and ensuring annual practice is always up to date.
Conducting antenatal clinic, interviews, physical examinations, collection of blood/urine samples, injections, vitamins, and referral of high-risk cases.
Managing deliveries at clinics/Alternative Birthing Centres (ABC), including partogram monitoring, maternal and neonatal care, resuscitation, and administration of Vitamin K1 ampoule/BCG injections.
Providing postnatal care at home, including maternal and neonatal examinations, guidance on exercise/nutrition, family planning, and referral of exceptional cases.
Preparing equipment for child clinic sessions, physical examinations, growth monitoring, immunisation, minor illness treatment, FCM, nutrition, and referral of special cases.
Motivating mothers on family planning methods, health examinations, Pap smear, and referral for contraceptives or health issues.
Conducting home visits for high-risk pregnant mothers, children with incomplete immunisation, special needs cases, and investigates maternal/child deaths.
Providing health education, breastfeeding guidance, infant care, nutrition, health activity demonstrations, and family counselling.
Managing and operating rural clinics, including preparation of medicines/vaccines, hygiene, safety, documentation, patient registration, minor treatments, and first aid.
Supporting nursing training, quality programmes, meetings/committees, community/village midwife collaboration, and routine clinic documentation.
