Assistant Vocational Training Officer Grade DV5, DV6, DV7, DV8 responsible for planning, developing, and implementing teaching and learning (T&L) tasks related to vocational skills according to training curricula based on the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) or other relevant standards, encompassing infrastructure development, curriculum development, teaching and learning (T&L), skills development, research and development (R&D), advisory and consultancy services, organisational/institutional management, compliance with procedures, safety and hygiene, and strategic collaboration.

Tasks

Assisting in coordinating the accreditation process for Skills Training Providers (PLK) or existing accredited centres under the Department of Skills Development or other relevant accrediting bodies.

Coordinating the formulation of assessment questions and the conduct of final evaluations, ensuring quality assurance in the implementation of final assessments at accredited centres meets the required standards.

Assisting in coordinating inspection and monitoring of training programmes.

Assisting in coordinating the student/trainee intake process.

Assisting in preparing analyses, reports, and statistics on the workforce, finances, industry, and economy to identify training needs, target groups, skills areas, and levels of technology used.

Assisting in preparing and implementing full-time and part-time programmes, and conducting studies and prepares evaluation reports on the progress and effectiveness of training.

Delivering vocational skills training according to the training curriculum based on NOSS or other established standards.

Undertaking management and supervision duties within the area of specialisation, including industrial training and support for student/trainee placement in industry.

Preparing, controlling, recording, and updating training materials, machinery, and equipment requirements.

Responsible for compliance with procedures, safety, cleanliness, and organisation within workspaces/workshops.
