Vocational Training Officer Grade DV14 responsible for planning, developing, and implementing teaching and learning (T&L) tasks related to vocational skills according to training curricula based on the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) or other relevant standards, encompassing infrastructure development, curriculum development, teaching and learning (T&L), skills development, research and development (R&D), advisory and consultancy services, organisational/institutional management, compliance with procedures, safety and hygiene, and strategic collaboration.

Tasks

Planning and developing the national skills training policy based on the current government policy.

Endorsing and approving the development of physical facilities and equipment based on the regulations and instructions provided.

Approving proposals for training policy, training systems, curricula, instructors, and assessment systems.

Endorsing training assessment programmes for instructors to implement the Training Assessment System.

Endorsing benchmarking programmes for the assessment system at the international level.

Monitoring activities related to advisory and consultancy services, whether with industry or other training providers.

Endorsing and approving Teaching Competency Development and Assessment, Training Curriculum Development, as well as Training Quality Control and Certification.

Analysing reports and statistics on the workforce, industry supply and demand, and the economy to identify training needs, target groups, skill areas, and technology levels used.
