Vocational Training Officer Grade DV12 responsible for planning, developing, and implementing teaching and learning (T&L) tasks related to vocational skills according to training curricula based on the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) or other relevant standards, encompassing infrastructure development, curriculum development, teaching and learning (T&L), skills development, research and development (R&D), advisory and consultancy services, organisational/institutional management, compliance with procedures, safety and hygiene, and strategic collaboration.

Tasks

Planning, implementing, and supervising the development of physical infrastructure and equipment in accordance with regulations, procedures, and instructions issued from time to time.

Reviewing and refining concept papers or training policies, training systems, curriculum, teaching staff development, and assessment systems.

Endorsing and managing the implementation of research studies, including methodology and related components.

Reviewing and refining initial drafts for the formulation of procedures, methods, and guidelines for the Training Assessment System.

Supervising training assessment programmes for instructors to implement the Competency Assessment System, and planning benchmarking programmes for assessment systems at national and international levels.

Preparing plans for activities related to advisory and consultancy services with industry and other training providers.

Reviewing and organising the Development and Assessment of Teaching Competencies as well as the Development of Training Curriculum and NOSS or other standards as stipulated.

Preparing and implementing training promotion activities, including budgeting for promotional materials and evaluating the effectiveness of such promotions.

Developing plans and strategies for the implementation of training programmes or initiatives.

Endorsing and approving training requirements, including training materials and equipment, in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
