Product and Chemical Analyst evaluates the chemical composition, safety, quality and regulatory compliance of products, particularly those containing chemical components used in manufacturing and industrial applications. The role conducts laboratory analysis and develops or refines test methods to assess product stability, performance and conformity with relevant standards, while supporting product development and quality assurance processes. Tasks

Develop and validate analytical methods and testing procedures to assess product stability, performance and conformity.
Research and select appropriate chemicals for product formulations based on performance, safety and regulatory requirements.
Document, interpret and report laboratory and experimental data to support product development and formulation improvement.
Analyse competitors’ products to benchmark chemical composition, performance and compliance characteristics.
Support cross-functional teams in product trials and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with research and development (R&D) and production teams to improve product performance, formulations and processes.
Ensure compliance with work safety procedures in laboratory and chemical processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to testing, quality assurance and manufacturing processes.

Basic
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail for accurate testing, documentation, and product analysis.
Effective written and verbal communication for clear reporting and collaboration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, for documentation and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate chemical data.

Ability to analyse and interpret chemical and laboratory data accurately.
Knowledge in relevant laboratory and quality standards.
Knowledge in safety, regulatory and industry compliance requirements for chemical and manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in material and chemical testing using standard laboratory techniques.
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting analytical instruments.
Proficiency in using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for sample tracking and data management.
