Pilot/Pilot Examiner Grade AT14 (Flight Operation Director) responsible for ensuring that civil aviation operations are conducted safely through the oversight of licensing for all aircrew and civil aviation Flight Dispatchers, the issuance of air operator certificates, and continuous surveillance of all air operators engaged in civil aviation activities, the assessment of aircrew and aircraft competency through flight testing, and the conduct of aircraft accident investigations when necessary.
Tasks
The Director of Flight Operations leads the Division and reports to the Director General of Civil Aviation.
Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of all units under the Flight Operations Division.
Formulating policies for implementation, supervision, and amendment concerning the operational standards of airlines and national crew.
Planning assessment and inspection tasks for airline operations and crew for the issuance of Air Operator Certificates and flight licences.
Responsible for ensuring that airline operations in the country comply with the regulations set out in MCAR 1996.
Responsible for ensuring the standard and level of aircraft flight tests and flight examinations are conducted according to established regulations.
Ensuring that policies, legislation, procedures, and operational standards of airlines in the country always comply with ICAO requirements and other international bodies to maintain recognition and international landing rights.
Ensuring that the operations of international airlines operating in the country comply with national legislation and ICAO requirements.
Managing and administering the Flight Operations Division, including planning financial requirements and staff training.
Overseeing investigations and providing advisory services regarding aviation incident reports for prevention and control purposes.
Responsible for planning and supervising the administration of the Flight Test and Simulator Unit to ensure tasks are carried out effectively.

Basic
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

Good personality and ability to act professionally, especially when dealing with customers.
Specific
Ability to write accurate and high-quality reports.
Experience as a flight instructor.
