Implementing hydrographic surveys, data processing, QA/QC, and the production and maintenance of a hydrographic database for the safety of navigation channels.
Managing the issuance of competency certificates, recognition certificates, safe manning documents, medical practitioner certificates, modular certificates, and navigator licenses.
Managing port operations, the gazettement of port limits, vessel arrivals and departures, as well as ship-to-ship transfer activities.
Preparing budget proposals and manages annual expenditure.
Examining and evaluating international technical requirements by representing the nation at international meetings for the purpose of compliance with international conventions of importance to the country.
