Conservator of Forests Grade G9 responsible for planning, supervising, managing, and controlling forest resources through forestry activities based on the principles of sustainable forest management including protecting the environment and preserving biodiversity, enforcing forest laws, preparing and coordinating forest planning and development projects, conducting internal audits MS ISO and Malaysian Criteria and Indicators (MC&I), conducting forestry economics research and studies, conducting departmental training and courses, participating in international conferences related to forestry, and providing advisory services on forestry matters at the federal and state levels.

Tasks

Preparing planning and implementing forest and financial development projects at the state or federal level.

Preparing monthly/quarterly physical and financial progress reports for projects.

Executing operational expenditures in accordance with approved allocations and prepares expenditure reports.

Implementing forest management and development, including assessment of forest resources, biodiversity, water resources, and forest planting projects.

Carriying out forest development, conservation, and maintenance activities, including community forestry and forest eco-park initiatives.

Implementing sustainable forest resource management and the Forest Management Plan.

Enforcing forest laws in accordance with the National Forestry Act 1984.

Conducting forest revenue control and collection, and processes applications for forest product concession areas.

Managing administration, finance, budgeting, and annual reporting of the Forestry Department at the district level.

Implementing training programmes, courses, examinations, and forestry outreach activities to enhance public awareness.
