Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager BIM) plans, directs and oversees the implementation and effective use of BIM processes, systems and standards across construction or infrastructure projects. The role ensures consistency, quality and compliance of BIM models and information workflows by coordinating internal teams and external consultants, managing shared data environments, and monitoring model development and integration. It provides technical leadership to support coordinated project delivery, improved productivity and alignment with organisational and project requirements.
Tasks

Evaluate BIM technologies and recommend appropriate software and hardware solutions to support project delivery.
Ensure compliance with national Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards, including Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia.
Integrate BIM with project scheduling and cost estimation tools.

Application of basic project management principles.

Digital literacy for BIM systems and technical documentation.
Specific
Knowledge of 3D, 4D and 5D BIM integration for design, scheduling and cost management.
Knowledge of cybersecurity controls and assessments for BIM data and digital infrastructure.
Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and Malaysia’s BIM Roadmap requirements.
Knowledge of risk assessment in BIM processes, data management and project delivery.
Proficiency in administering Common Data Environments (CDE), including platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bentley ProjectWise.
Proficiency in BIM data design, migration and database administration.
Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and digital tools for collaborative digital construction workflows.
Proficiency in managing Building Information Modelling (BIM) implementation using software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Tekla and ArchiCAD.
Proficiency in model coordination and clash detection across multidisciplinary project teams.
