Demolition Labourer is responsible for preparing and clearing land or sites by removing vegetation, debris, and structures to make areas safe and accessible for construction, agriculture, or development. The role involves both manual labour and the operation of machinery or equipment to demolish buildings, process trees and stumps, and dismantle structures in a controlled and compliant manner.
Tasks
Prepare sites for demolition or land clearing by securing work areas and removing surface obstructions.
Cut, remove, and clear trees, shrubs, rocks, debris, and existing structures as required.
Operate basic demolition and land-clearing equipment and machinery under supervision.
Use hand tools and powered tools to break down structures and materials safely.
Sort, salvage, clean, and separate reusable materials from demolition debris.
Load, unload, and transport materials, debris, tools, and equipment to and from work sites.
Dispose of waste materials safely in accordance with environmental requirements.
Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in good working condition.
Follow safety, health, and environmental regulations during demolition and clearing operations.
Carry out general site cleanup, maintenance, and other related manual tasks as directed.
