The role includes setting and maintaining traps, handling hunting equipment, and supporting hunting operations conducted for food, recreation, or wildlife management.
Tasks
Track, locate, and observe wildlife in designated hunting or control areas.
Set, check, and maintain traps or snares in accordance with regulations and safety procedures.
Assist in capture or harvesting of wildlife under authorised programmes.
Process, handle, and transport harvested game in a safe and hygienic manner.
Maintain and clean hunting tools, traps, and related equipment.
Comply with environmental, wildlife protection, and hunting legislation and guidelines.
Support wildlife hazard management and control programmes as required.
Carry out related hunting and wildlife management support tasks.
