Driver (Bus) is responsible for safely transporting passengers, mail, or goods along designated routes using city, school, tour, or other types of buses. The role involves operating buses in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations, performing pre-trip inspections, maintaining vehicle condition, refueling, and completing travel records. Drivers ensure punctual and reliable service while communicating with passengers and reporting any mechanical issues or unsafe conditions.
Tasks
Inspect buses before and after trips to ensure safety and operational readiness.
Drive buses or street tramcars along assigned routes according to schedules.
Assist passengers to board, alight, and handle luggage, including those with special needs.
Open and close doors and maintain order among passengers during trips.
Collect fares or check tickets as required.
Keep accurate records of trips, delays, and incidents.
Perform routine vehicle checks and carry out basic maintenance as needed.
Provide information and assist passengers regarding routes and schedules.

Basic
Basic vehicle maintenance awareness to identify and report minor faults.
Clear communication skills for interacting with passengers and relevant personnel.
Excellent driving skills with sound knowledge of traffic laws and road safety rules.
Physical stamina to manage long driving hours and passenger handling.
Time management skills to maintain schedules and punctuality.

Experience with routine vehicle inspection and minor repair procedures.
Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Knowledge of route planning and navigation using maps, Global Positioning System, and electronic ticketing systems.
