Inspect finished metal products for defects and compliance with quality standards.
Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot minor faults to maintain smooth production.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machines to ensure optimal performance.
Record production data, including output quantities, machine issues, and maintenance activities.
Follow safety, environmental, and workplace protocols to maintain a safe and organised environment.

Basic
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Attention to detail to ensure precision, detect defects, and meet product quality standards.
Basic numeracy and measurement skills to perform checks using gauges, calipers, or measuring tools.
Basic understanding of machine operations and metal forming or machining processes.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination to operate machines and handle materials safely.

Ability to set and adjust machine parameters for different metals, thicknesses, and production specifications.
Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues in metal forming machines.
