Composite Products Assembler assembles and finishes components made from composite materials by following technical drawings and production specifications to produce completed parts for industrial use. The role involves working with layered composite materials through standard manufacturing processes and ensuring that finished components meet required quality, performance, and durability standards. Work is carried out within controlled production environments in line with established procedures and quality requirements.
Tasks
Prepare composite materials and tools for assembly.
Cut, shape, and lay up composite layers according to specifications.
Assemble components or parts following instructions.
Apply resins or adhesives as required.
Operate curing ovens or autoclaves safely.
Trim and finish composite parts to meet design standards.
Inspect finished products and assembled components for quality and defects.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Report production issues or equipment faults to supervisors.
Skills
Basic
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard procedures.
Basic mathematical skills for measuring, mixing, and checking quantities.
Coordination to handle materials, components, and tools safely and efficiently.
Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination to assemble composite products accurately.
Reading comprehension to understand technical guidelines and work instructions.
Specific
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Experience with installation of composite components according to specifications.
Experience with quality control and inspection techniques.
Knowledge of resin application, curing processes, and autoclave operation.
Knowledge of safety protocols for chemicals and equipment.
Proficiency in equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
