Tasks

Operate woodworking machines, including saws, routers, sanders, and computer numerical control machines, safely and efficiently.

Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines according to production specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings or production plans to understand job requirements.

Prepare raw materials and workpieces, including sanding, cleaning, and filling cracks or holes, before processing or finishing.

Apply finishes such as stains, paints, varnishes, or sealants using appropriate methods to achieve the desired surface quality.

Monitor machine performance and production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety protocols.

Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and tool upkeep to ensure optimal machine and equipment function.

Inspect processed and finished furniture to detect defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Repair or restore damaged furniture and ensure timely completion of production or finishing tasks.

Follow all safety, environmental, and production guidelines while performing tasks.
