Tasks
Prepare and set up rubber processing machines, including milling, extrusion, calendering, moulding, laminating, and foam production, according to production requirements.
Load and measure raw rubber materials and compounds into machines accurately.
Operate and monitor machines to knead, mix, blend, extrude, roll, mould, vulcanise, and shape rubber products.
Monitor machine operations, adjust settings, and detect faults to maintain product quality, thickness, and consistency.
Inspect finished rubber products, including sheets, tyres, hoses, stamps, airbags, and foam, for defects, dimensions, and quality compliance.
Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on machines to ensure smooth operations.
Record production output, machine performance, and quality control data, and report issues to supervisors.
Follow technical drawings, job orders, and production specifications for specialised rubber products.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental regulations, and quality standards during all production activities.
Assist supervisors and maintenance teams in improving production efficiency and product quality.
