Tasks

Set up and prepare camera equipment according to production requirements.

Operate motion picture cameras during filming or recording.

Adjust camera settings, including focus, zoom, exposure, and framing.

Collaborate with directors and cinematographers to follow shot lists and storyboards.

Monitor image and film quality and make adjustments as needed.

Operate and test photographic processing and printing equipment.

Maintain and repair camera equipment.

Prepare exposed film for processing in dark rooms.

Transport and secure cameras and accessories while ensuring on-set safety.
