This role is performed in both artisanal settings and large-scale dairy manufacturing facilities.
Tasks
Pasteurize and standardize milk and cream.
Add cultures, rennet, or other ingredients to produce dairy products.
Churn, cut, stir, cook, and mould curds or butter.
Drain whey and shape or age cheeses as required.
Salt, season, or flavour products.
Monitor production processes and product quality.
Take samples and adjust processes according to standard operating procedures.
Package, label, and store finished products.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain equipment and work areas.
Record production data accurately and maintain production logs.
