Tasks

Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning, sanding, and removing grease, dirt, rust, or other contaminants.

Mix varnish, lacquer, enamel, or other coatings to required specifications.

Apply varnish, lacquer, or other protective and decorative coatings using brushes, spray guns, or other finishing equipment.

Ensure even application and achieve the required finish on metal, wood, rattan, and other manufactured surfaces.

Inspect finished surfaces or products to ensure coating quality, smoothness, and durability.

Perform touch-ups and minor repairs to maintain coating quality.

Maintain and clean varnishing and spraying equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Adhere to workplace safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment during finishing operations.

Record work details, materials used, and completed finishing tasks.
