Tasks

Lay and install pipes in trenches or structures to form water mains, drainage, and sewerage systems.
Inspect, examine, and test installed piping systems using pressure gauges, hydrostatic tests, or other methods to ensure proper operation and leak-free performance.
Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of existing piping systems and related equipment.
Dismantle and replace defective or decommissioned piping components and systems.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other construction or maintenance personnel during installation and repair works.
Ensure all piping installation and maintenance work complies with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Basic
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with adherence to safety and environmental protocols.
Manual dexterity and physical stamina for handling and installing pipes.
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, repair, and ensure proper installation.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools and understanding pipe fitting and mechanical systems.
