They prepare surfaces, install and secure plasterboard and ceiling systems where required, and apply, level and finish successive coats to achieve specified standards. The role may include repairing and maintaining existing plastered surfaces and related ceiling structures.
Tasks
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Measure and mark surfaces for installation or plaster application.
Cut and fit ceiling or plaster materials to required dimensions.
Install ceiling panels, suspension systems, or plaster coatings.
Apply protective, decorative, or ornamental plaster finishes to walls and ceilings.
Repair or replace damaged ceiling or plaster components.
Ensure all installations and plaster work are level, secure, and meet quality standards.
Select and prepare materials for specific construction requirements.
