Tasks

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for ships, boats, and other wooden vessels.

Measure, mark, cut, and shape wood and other materials to specifications.

Assemble, install, alter, and repair wooden components, fixtures, and structural woodwork on ships and boats.

Construct and restore wooden boat hulls, superstructures, and ship fittings to required standards.

Apply finishes and coatings to protect wood and maintain durability and appearance.

Collaborate with shipbuilding and marine professionals to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with maritime standards.

Maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety and workplace regulations.

Fit, assemble, and adjust internal and external wooden fixtures such as doors, frames, and installations.
