Seafood Farm Worker plans and manages the breeding and cultivation of aquatic species such as fish, prawns, mussels, oysters, shellfish, sea cucumber, and ornamental fish, producing products for sale to markets, wholesalers, or marketing organisations. They are responsible for daily farm operations, including feeding, monitoring growth and health, maintaining water quality, controlling pests and diseases, harvesting, and post-harvest handling, while ensuring proper equipment function.

Tasks

Feed and monitor fish and other aquatic species to support healthy growth.

Breed, raise, and tend fish and other aquatic species, including supporting hatchery activities.

Monitor, maintain, and adjust water quality and environmental conditions in tanks, ponds, or cages.

Identify and control pests, toxins, and diseases affecting aquatic stock.

Harvest and perform basic processing of fish and seafood products.

Operate, clean, and maintain aquaculture tools, equipment, tanks, and ponds.

Assist in planning and managing farm and hatchery operations in line with production and market requirements.

Maintain records of fish health, farm activities, and production outputs.
