Tasks

Enforcing forestry laws, including the National Forestry Act 1984/Sabah - Forest Enactment 1968, Forest Rules 1969/Sarawak - Forest Ordinance 1958, National Parks and Nature Reserves Ordinance 1998, and Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1998.
Ensuring full compliance with the criteria and indicators for forest management certification in Malaysia.
Assisting in tasks related to the management of national parks, nature reserves, and wildlife in the Sarawak Forest Department.
Officers may be assigned to government forestry training centers as an instructor or assistant instructor for forestry courses.
Skills
Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu or English.
Ability to write reports and working papers.
Computer handling skills.

Ability to analyse forestry information.
Knowledge of environmental conservation.
Knowledge of flora and fauna.
