Mixed Crop Growers plan and carry out the necessary operations to grow and harvest specific combinations of field crops, field vegetables, tree and shrub crops, garden, horticultural and nursery products, for sale or delivery on a regular basis to wholesale buyers, marketing organisations or at markets.

Tasks
Determining the kinds and amounts of crops to be grown.
Purchasing seeds, fertiliser and other supplies.
Performing operations such as soil preparation, sowing, planting, tending and harvesting of crops.
Growing vegetables by intensive cultivation and producing saplings, bulbs and seeds.
Storing and carrying out some processing of produce.
Controlling weeds, pests and diseases by using herbicides and pesticides.
Promoting and marketing products, arranging the sale, purchase and transport of products and supplies, as well as maintaining and evaluating records of farm activities and transactions.
Training workers on the farm, supervising maintenance duties and health and safety precautions.
Maintaining buildings, machinery and other equipment.
Delivering or marketing products.
Performing related tasks.
