Immigration Officer Grade KP1 responsible for the task of issuing passports and travel documents, issuing visas, passes and permits, regulating the movement of entry points at gazetted entry points as well as providing quality and efficient support services to the customers of the department to further strengthen the management of the organisation as well as to improve the quality of immigration services to meet the aspirations of the people and the country.
Tasks
Assisting the Head of Enforcement Unit at the state/branch/district level in supervising and ensuring immigration enforcement operations comply with established standards and procedures.
Assisting the Head of Enforcement Unit at the state/branch/district level in overseeing and conducting inspections to enforce provisions under the Immigration Act 1959/63, Passport Act 1966, and Immigration Regulations 1963.
Conducting inspections and follow-up actions on premises and workers violating immigration laws.
Conducting investigations and prosecutions for immigration offenses and assisting in compounding programmes, blacklisting, and deportation.
Supervising and implementing awareness programmes for citizens and foreigners regarding penalties for breaching immigration laws.
Processing applications related to foreign workers across various sectors.
Processing visa, passport, and entry permit applications, as well as matters related to Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) and the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card.
Monitoring the movement of citizens and visitors, and preparing inbound/outbound statistics for various agencies and government requirements.
Assisting the Head of Enforcement Unit in managing and planning operational schedules and the types of operations to be carried out at all times.
Assisting in supervising programmes aimed at achieving zero Illegal Immigrant (PATI) presence in Malaysia.

Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to interact well in providing opinions, advisory services, and solving problems.
Ability to write reports effectively.
