Security Assistant Grade KP1 responsible for performing security control duties of government assets involving physical security, documents and personnel in government buildings and premises including areas declared as Prohibited Areas and Prohibited Places under the Prohibited Areas and Prohibited Places Act 1959 (Act 298).
Tasks
Supervising Security Guard duties in registering, issuing, and checking security passes/department ID cards for officers, visitors, and contract workers.
Monitoring and overseeing access control for officers and visitor movement.
Coordinating physical inspections of public servants, visitors, and contract workers, including checking vehicles, bags, and equipment brought into the premises.
Organising, preparing, and leading security patrol shifts, reviewing daily logbooks, monitoring attendance, and conducting roll calls.
Recording key management in the logbook, ensuring all main entrance keys and premises keys are in good condition and securely stored.
Conducting patrols/inspections to monitor Security Guards inside and outside the premises and logs findings in the daily report book.
Ensuring all security equipment, systems, and facilities are in proper working order, functional, and safe for use.
Reporting any malfunctioning equipment, facilities, or security systems within the premises to the responsible Security Officer/Supervisor.
Monitoring and supervising vehicle access control and ensuring smooth traffic flow within the premises.
Ensuring all incidents within the premises are reported and assisting in enforcing traffic regulations on-site.
