Vocational Training Assistant Grade DV1 responsible for planning, developing, and implementing teaching and learning (T&L) tasks related to vocational skills according to training curricula based on the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) or other relevant standards, encompassing infrastructure development, curriculum development, teaching and learning (T&L), skills development, research and development (R&D), advisory and consultancy services, organisational/institutional management, compliance with procedures, safety and hygiene, and strategic collaboration.

Tasks

Teaching vocational skills training in accordance with the training curriculum based on NOSS or other prescribed standards.

Assisting in the preparation of learning modules.

Preparing and conducting theory and practical assessments, and evaluating student/trainee achievements.

Recording and reporting assessment results.

Assisting in identifying industrial training placements and related arrangements.

Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and orderly arrangement within and outside workshops/classrooms before and after use.

Monitoring compliance with discipline, safety, and hygiene procedures during teaching and learning programmes.

Preparing, ensuring, and supervising training machines and equipment to maintain their proper and safe condition for use.

Assisting in implementing motivation, guidance, and counselling programmes for students/trainees, and coordinating curriculum activities within the institute.
