Hot Air Balloon Crew supports the safe and efficient operation of balloon flights, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the experience. They assist with balloon preparation, assembly, launch, in-flight monitoring, and landing, while coordinating ground operations and adhering to established aviation safety procedures. The role also includes providing operational support and customer service before, during, and after flights to ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable journey for passengers.
Tasks
Set up, dismantle, and pack hot air balloon equipment before and after flights.
Assist the pilot during inflation, take-off, landing, and recovery operations.
Conduct pre-flight safety checks and inspections of balloon equipment.
Provide safety briefings and ensure passengers comply with safety instructions.
Greet, assist, and manage passengers during boarding and disembarkation.
Ensure passenger comfort and safety throughout the flight.
Drive and operate chase vehicles to track, retrieve, and transport the balloon after landing.
Provide passengers with basic flight, route, and landing information.
Count and record passenger numbers for each flight.
Carry out routine cleaning and minor maintenance of balloon equipment.

Ability to follow instructions and respond appropriately to passengers’ needs.
Basic understanding of safety requirements and emergency procedures.
Clear communication and interpersonal skills to interact with crew members and passengers.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings and weekends.
Physical fitness and stamina to carry out manual and outdoor tasks.
