Community Development Assistant Grade S1
Community Development Assistant Grade S1 carries out community activities in the form of promotion, cultivation, intervention, and rehabilitation in the aspects of unity and interethnic relations, assist in the establishment of Rukun Tetangga (RT), Tabika Perpaduan (TP), Taska Permata Perpaduan (TPP), expansion of the Skim Rondaan Sukarela (SRS), collection of information on the unity climate, and identification of issues related to interethnic relations, culture, customs, and religious sensitivities, assist in monitoring and detecting issues that may threaten interethnic relations and social security within local communities. Simultaneously, responsible for assisting in enhancing local community understanding of the importance of national integration, patriotism, nation building, and interethnic relations based on the Rukun Negara and the Federal Constitution. Assists and supports Community Development Officers (Medical Social Workers) in providing biopsychosocial services to patients during treatment and rehabilitation, and assist in restoring social functioning so that patients become more productive, independent, and able to reintegrate into the community in accordance with their capabilities.
Tasks
Implementing and supervising the Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) and Skim Rondaan Sukarela (SRS) to ensure community social security.
Guiding the Jawatankuasa Rukun Tetangga and volunteer patrols in addressing issues/conflicts and conducting patrol activities.
Collecting and updating information/data and the RT directory through the RT Information Development System (e-RT) as a reference for district/division authorities.
Acting as a mediator and implementing interventions to resolve social conflicts and inter-ethnic tensions within the community.
Supervising community cohesion activities, including interfaith dialogues, unity education in kindergartens/daycare centres, and neighbourhood programmes.
Assisting the community in understanding the Constitution, the importance of national unity, and religious rights and sensitivities to foster social harmony.
Recording, registering, and opening patient files and collecting background information on patients and their families.
Assisting in social investigations and preparing socio-economic reports on patients/families for assistance from government agencies and NGOs.
