Cultural Artist Grade B3 responsible for performing duties as a Cultural Artist in PENTARAMA performances in a professional manner, planning, implementing, and preparing reports related to performances in accordance with departmental requirements. Managing performance activities, including the preparation of dance, singing, and acting for performances, efficiently and effectively within the Talent and Arts group.
Tasks
Creating choreography for official performances.
Assisting in managing productions organised by Istana Budaya, including repertoire preparation, rehearsals, and large-scale conceptual productions.
Assisting in scheduling dance rehearsals and coordinating training for Istana Budaya Cultural Artists.
Overseeing and assisting in coordinating dance and theatre projects conducted in collaboration with Istana Budaya.
Monitoring the discipline of Istana Budaya Cultural Artists during dance rehearsals and performances, both domestically and internationally.
Skills
Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to plan and prepare quality reports.
Ability to provide professional opinions, advisory services, and present arguments effectively.
Specific
Ability to analyse government messages or policies and translate them into stage performances.
Ability to create dance forms or new dance ideas.
Broad knowledge in the local entertainment industry.
High commitment to a career as a dancer or choreographer.
High level of creativity and sensitivity to current entertainment needs.
Strong interest in contributing to arts and performance activities.
