Producer Grade B6 (Stage Play Assistant Director)
Producer Grade B6 (Stage Play Assistant Director) responsible for performing duties in PENTARAMA performances professionally, planning, implementing, and preparing reports related to performances in accordance with departmental requirements, as well as managing performance activities, including efficiently and effectively preparing performance formats and scripts, and providing guidance and mentorship to all officers in the Talent and Arts team at the PENTARAMA Branch.
Tasks
Carrying out duties and is accountable to the Grade B7 Drama Director.
Acting as the driving force for performance-related tasks and implements the planning or performance formats that have been established.
Managing and coordinating the allocation of daily and monthly rehearsal schedules and ensuring that the schedules are executed according to the established plan.
Managing and coordinating discussions related to performances with the Stage Manager Grade B5, Assistant Drama Director Grade B3, Dancers, Set Designers, Prop Handlers, and Beauticians Grade B2.
Ensuring that messages and script adaptations prepared are performed in accordance with departmental requirements.
Assisting the Drama Director Grade B7 in planning and providing ideas related to the preparation of performance formats and scripts.
Managing and monitoring the performance and work carried out by the Stage Manager Grade B5, and Assistant Drama Director Grade B3.
Assisting in coordinating programmes for personal development, motivation, counselling, and career planning for all officers in the Talent and Arts Group.
Managing and monitoring the welfare and safety of officers in the Talent and Arts Group.
Performing tasks as directed from time to time.
Skills
Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to provide professional opinions, offer advisory services, and present arguments effectively.
High level of creativity and awareness of current entertainment needs.
Specific
Ability to analyse messages or government policies and translate them into stage performances.
Ability to plan and produce high-quality reports.
Broad knowledge in the local entertainment arts field.
