Designer Grade B3 responsible for graphic design and multimedia work, exhibitions, and outdoor publicity for government campaigns, including visuals and displays to communicate policies and information to the public. Responsible in the creation of designs for performances and production props. Coordinates and prepares design materials for publications and FINAS trophies. Ensures stage setups and ceremony preparations for guest arrivals, and manages promotional materials for dissemination to states, magazines, radio, and media briefings.
Tasks
Designing and laying out visual communication materials in line with departmental programmes and strategies as per provided visuals.
Responsible to the project team leader as part of a team for the installation of materials and exhibition management to ensure the success of the work.
Preparing and compiling daily reports and other reports punctually, and assisting in researching the latest methods and technologies in visual communication to improve work quality.
Assisting in preparing effective and innovative exhibition materials to support departmental/ministry campaigns, programmes, and activities.
Preparing layouts for various types of external publicity work according to given concepts/visuals and selects the specified media.
Assisting in selecting and editing materials for use in exhibition production and internal/external display boxes.
Assisting in designing exhibitions, plans, perspective drawings, and 3D graphics to ensure project activities are effective, high-quality, informative, and engaging.
Ensuring the safety of materials and equipment entrusted for use.
Skills
Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to provide professional opinions, ideas, and concepts, and present arguments effectively.
Ability to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia or English.
Leadership ability and capability to deliver excellent customer service.
Specific
Ability in drawing, carving, design, and creative work.
Ability to produce high-quality reports.
Ability to work at any time including outside normal workplace or office.
High level of creativity and innovation in product development.
Skills in drawing and colouring as well as ability to use computers.
