They plan and design residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality environments, ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations, and often collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to implement the design plan. Their work may also extend to creating visual materials such as posters and other print media to support the overall design concept.

Tasks

Consult with clients to determine design needs and functional requirements.

Develop and present design concepts, including mood boards, floor plans, and elevations.

Select and source materials, furnishings, and décor in line with the design vision.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and professionals to ensure effective project execution.

Supervise the development of models, patterns, or sample products as required.

Oversee project implementation and conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality.

Incorporate client feedback into design revisions and final outputs.

Design interior schemes for residential, commercial, and public spaces based on project requirements.
