Photographer Grade B3 responsible for taking photos, editing, preparing captions, and sending photographs of formal and informal activities to Photo Library Unit for reference and retention. Responsible for making film/audio or soundless video coverage, filming a special programme, providing equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of the studio and darkroom as well as ensuring safety of equipment inside and outside the department.
Tasks
Performing image duplication, scans (for sale or free distribution), processes, prints, checks, organises, and carries out maintenance tasks.
Covering official photography assignments within the country (scheduled and unscheduled) for press photographs, creative/editorial photographs, and studio photography.
Editing photographs, preparing captions, and submitting them in CD format to the Library Unit.
Carrying out departmental programme photography and video recording, including processing, printing, checking, organising, and maintenance.
Supervising the inventory of reprography materials and video service equipment.
Supervising subordinate officers during video coverage.
Overseeing the cleanliness and safety of the unit and providing briefings to visitors according to schedule.
Registering and supervising duplication/video recording orders and preparing costing for orders and video service bookings.
Performing video production tasks, digital image manipulation, and photography.
Conducting secretariat duties for the Basic Reprografy Course.

Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to manage administrative, service, and financial matters.
Ability to work in a team as well as plan and manage tasks.
Basic communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to use ICT applications.

Ability to operate camera equipment and knowledge of studio lighting and backgrounds.
Computer skills.
Knowledge of media cataloguing including classification and indexing.
Knowledge of media technology including manual, automatic, analog, and digital systems.
Knowledge of photo printing and types of film.
Knowledge of photography ethics including protocols, etiquette, and dress code.
Knowledge of photography techniques including outdoor and studio photography.
Knowledge of storage management including material storage and store maintenance.
Skills in handling SLR cameras and basic video camera operations.
