Medical Technician Grade U1 responsible for assisting Science Officers (Physics) in providing treatment accessories such as radiation blocks, immobilization masks, leg rests, dental molds, tray accessories for linacs, QC equipment accessories and data collection for patient treatment purposes.
Tasks
Performing activities related to the fabrication of radiation shielding blocks.
Producing treatment accessories, including electron put-ons, wax build-ups, lead masks, motion-prevention masks (BDS), trays for linear accelerator (linac) machines, tongue depressors, and leg rest/head rest/arm rest supports.
Assisting medical physicists in conducting equipment quality control (QC) activities.
Supporting demonstrations on the fabrication of treatment accessories for AHP trainees.
Assisting in determining the treatment set-up position prior to the commencement of patient imaging and treatment procedures.
