Tasks
Collect, label, and prepare biological specimens such as blood, urine, tissue, and other body fluids for laboratory analysis.
Perform laboratory tests in areas such as haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, molecular diagnostics, and blood banking.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment including analysers, microscopes, centrifuges, and spectrophotometers.
Record, document, and maintain laboratory data, test results, and quality control records.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and inventory management of specimens, reagents, and blood products.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, sterilise equipment, and dispose of biohazard waste in accordance with safety regulations.
Assist pathologists, medical technologists, and other healthcare professionals in diagnostic, research, and laboratory procedures.
