Berthing Master is responsible for the safe navigation and docking of vessels at ports, harbors, or terminals, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and operational standards. Inspect docking areas and vessels to ensure safety, suitability, and compliance with regulations.
Coordinate with tugboats, mooring teams, port staff, and ship crews to ensure smooth berthing and departure operations.
Oversee and coordinate cargo handling activities to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of vessel movements and relevant operational documentation.
Respond to emergency situations and implement safety and first-aid procedures when required.
Advise on optimal berthing locations and support port operational planning.
Support training and guidance for crew and port personnel involved in berthing operations.

Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety, efficiency, and operational control.
