Wildlife Assistant Grade G1 implementing Wildlife Conservation activities, enforcing legislation under the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010 [Act 716], the International Trade in Endangered Species Act 2008 [Act 686], the National Parks Act 1980 [Act 226], the Taman Negara Enactment (Pahang) No.2, 1939, the Taman Negara Enactment (Terengganu) No.6, 1939, and the Taman Negara Enactment (Kelantan) No.14, 1938, as well as conducting training programmes, public awareness initiatives, and human capital development.

Tasks

Conducting enforcement activities under relevant Acts and Enactments.

Carrying out intelligence gathering, patrolling, searches, and inspections at business premises, residences, and national border entry points in accordance with the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010 [Act 716] and the International Trade in Endangered Species Act 2008 [Act 686].

Processing the issuance of licences and permits related to wildlife at the Department’s counters.

Managing wildlife conflicts through appropriate measures, such as providing advisory services, installing traps, scaring away, capturing and relocating, or culling.

Ensuring the welfare of wildlife at the Department’s Wildlife Conservation Centres and Wildlife Rescue Centres.

Assisting in implementing public awareness programmes, departmental courses, and the Mindset Transformation Programme (PTM).
