Assistant Agricultural Officer Grade G5 responsible for carrying out development duties, including planning, implementing, evaluating, and monitoring development programs through the execution of Projek Perladangan Berkelompok. In addition, responsible for assisting in planning extension activities related to project policies, attending lectures, dialogues/training courses, delivering briefings, and publishing brochures and other printed materials related to agricultural projects.

Tasks

Planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating agricultural development programs for paddy, industrial crops, floriculture, and agri-based industries.

Supervising the production, distribution, promotion, marketing, and handling of seeds, as well as the maintenance of farms and stations.

Coordinating soil investigations, fertility assessments, land use, conservation, sampling, laboratory analysis, and geospatial data management.

Enforcing plant quarantine, pest management, farm/premises inspections, and treatment of agricultural materials.

Managing registration, verification, licensing, inspection, enforcement, and disposal of pesticides, as well as extension activities.

Coordinating agricultural engineering works, construction, maintenance, project design, and machinery suitability testing.

Processing participant registration, inspection, verification of planting materials, and managing data for the Malaysian Good Agricultural Practices Scheme (SALM), Malaysian Organic Scheme (SOM), and Seed Certification Scheme (SPBT).

Preparing information, reports, documents, policy reviews, project planning, and monitoring program effectiveness.

Supporting the implementation of ICT, websites, information system applications, databases, and public relations programs.

Coordinating training, courses, seminars, industrial training, logistics, and the management of student and staff data at the Agricultural Institute.
