Slickline Operator
Slickline Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining slickline equipment in an oil or gas well to perform downhole interventions. They deploy, retrieve, and manipulate tools to set or recover plugs, valves, gauges, and other devices, while monitoring operations to ensure equipment functions safely and efficiently, working closely with engineers and rig personnel to support well maintenance, testing, and repair, contributing to the productivity and integrity of the well.
Tasks
Set up and operate slickline units and associated equipment for downhole interventions.
Deploy, retrieve, and install downhole tools such as plugs, valves, gauges, and pressure regulators in oil wells.
Monitor and interpret well conditions and real-time data during slickline operations to ensure safe and effective performance.
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of slickline tools and equipment to ensure operational reliability.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during slickline operations.
Maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports on equipment performance and job activities.
Collaborate with engineers and rig personnel to support well intervention, maintenance, and optimisation activities.
