Tasks
Monitor and operate wastewater treatment equipment to treat, purify, and dispose of sewage and liquid waste.
Adjust and control treatment systems, including pumps, valves, filters, clarifiers, chemical dosing systems, and compressors, to ensure efficient operation.
Conduct routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of wastewater treatment machinery.
Collect, analyse, and record water, sludge, and chemical samples to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Respond to alarms, system malfunctions, and operational issues, and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
Operate and monitor filtration, sedimentation, chlorination, and purification processes for safe discharge or reuse of treated water.
Ensure proper handling, treatment, and disposal of sludge, by-products, and chemicals in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain operational records and compliance documentation for regulatory and internal reporting purposes.
Assist in plant start-up, shutdown, and routine operational planning activities.
Coordinate with environmental agencies, suppliers, and internal teams to meet regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
