They monitor machinery for freezing, cutting, and packaging ice, handle the resulting waste, and ensure hygiene, safety, and environmental compliance, supporting efficient production and proper disposal of ice-related waste.
Tasks
Operate and monitor ice production, waste treatment systems, incinerators, and associated compressors to ensure efficient and continuous operations.
Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on ice production and waste handling equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and operational faults and collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and technical support.
Handle disposal and recycling of ice waste in compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in production and waste handling areas.
Record operational data and report equipment issues or system irregularities.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and ensure safe operations in cold and wet working environments.
