Refrigeration Systems Operator monitors, operates, and maintains industrial refrigeration, cooling, and HVAC systems in facilities such as manufacturing plants, food processing units, cold storage, and commercial buildings. They ensure systems perform efficiently and safely by controlling temperature levels, conducting inspections, troubleshooting faults, and performing preventive maintenance while complying with safety and environmental regulations, coordinating with engineers and maintenance teams to optimise system performance, minimise downtime, and support a safe, comfortable, and product-quality-preserving environment.

Tasks

Monitor and adjust refrigeration and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system controls to maintain correct temperature, pressure, and air quality.

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, boilers, chillers, and air handling equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system faults promptly.

Operate and monitor air and gas compressors and related equipment integrated with water, waste, or purification systems.

Record operational data, maintenance activities, and system performance logs.

Respond to alarms and system malfunctions, coordinate maintenance and emergency interventions, and assist in emergency procedures related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
