Assistant Architectural Officer Grade JA5 responsible for handling the implementation of the scope of architectural work including performing the preparation of technical drawings and specifications, checking drawing consultants, recording and maintaining drawings, preparing model studies, preparing designs, preparing design sketches, preparing work drawings, drawing consultants, monitoring technical assessment feedback, performing quality audits (design)/construction architecture audits and prepare reports and other tasks related to tasks related to design and architectural aspects. Tasks
Assisting Architects in providing advice on architecture, site planning, design, materials, and standards.
Preparing appointment documents, consultant evaluation scoring, professional fee claims, and consultant reimbursements.
Monitoring architectural consultant work to ensure layout plans and building designs comply with government regulations.
Coordinating planning approval applications, building approvals, and technical department approvals.
Coordinating construction work in accordance with architectural specifications and verifies the use of building materials and systems.
Coordinating work variation applications and monitors architectural scope progress for payment claims.
Coordinating construction audits, final inspections, and pre-handover project reports.
Reviewing and coordinating urban design, architectural, signage, telecommunications, and landscape design reviews.
Coordinating departmental project construction work from the perspective of urban design, architecture, and interior design.
Reviewing planning enforcement feedback on urban design and architectural aspects for precincts and local areas.
Skills
Basic
Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to provide advisory services and present arguments effectively.
Ability to write high-quality reports, letters and meeting minutes.
