Draughtsperson (Architecture) Grade JA1 responsible for handling the implementation of the scope of architectural work including performing the preparation of technical drawings and specifications, checking drawing consultants, recording and maintaining drawings, preparing model studies, preparing designs, preparing design sketches, preparing work drawings, drawing consultants, monitoring technical assessment feedback, performing quality audits (design)/construction architecture audits and prepare reports and other tasks related to tasks related to design and architectural aspects. Responsible for Planning Permission Applications for building erection, Layout Plan Applications, Landscape Approval Applications, and Applications for the Installation of Signboards for Commercial Buildings and Government Office Buildings. Coordinates the issuance of support letters for Certificates of Fitness for Occupation (CF), Building Alteration Applications, exhibition space design and exhibition materials, reviews of proposed building lighting, and reviews of proposed interior design for buildings under departmental supervision, as well as other related duties.
Tasks
Preparing standard drawings for the database.
Preparing drawings (architectural working drawings, presentation drawings (3D), detailed drawings, tender and construction drawings, measured drawings, and perspective drawings).
Preparing study models.
Conducting design quality audits and providing information for audit reports.
Recording and maintaining drawings.
Assisting in preparing consultant drawings and providing feedback on technical reviews.
Preparing drawings in accordance with local authority requirements and other legal obligations.
Preparing and inputting Industrialised Building System (IBS) score calculations during the design preparation stage.
Assisting in designing exhibitions and exhibition materials organised by the corporation/department and external agencies.
Assisting in storing building models and related reports for approved applications.

Basic
Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to provide advisory services and present arguments effectively.
Ability to write high-quality reports, letters and meeting minutes.
